4 starter kits for sustainable living

Updated: Mar 25

Thanks to shops and groups like The Green Collective SG, we now have more ways to be eco-friendly. :)

We now know of another place in Singapore to buy a wide array of sustainable brands and products. We now know that a much greener lifestyle is possible. We now know that we can take steps to help save and nurture the environment.

We now know who to turn to for more information to achieve all of the above. :)

But sometimes it can get overwhelming. We’re faced with different choices. Where do we even begin?

The Green Collective SG has just the thing: starter kits (that can also serve as gifts). Theirs feature items that we can depend on, and can go back to again and again. We can even think of the kits as convenient templates that can guide us into making better, more responsible decisions – as well as more ethical purchases – today or in the future.

“The idea is to kickstart new habits by providing a basic set at an attractive price,” says Danielle Champagne, one of The Green Collective SG’s founders.

“We want to show that going green doesn’t have to be complicated or costly, and can be done stylishly.”

Here’s a sneak peek. :)

Who and what is The Green Collective SG?

You will find their retail store at KINEX Mall, #01-36/41, Tanjong Katong Road.

With an aim to make sustainability mainstream, The Green Collective SG was founded in April 2018 by Danielle Champagne, Agatha Lee, Mayur Singh and Adeline Huang Tianying, and is now run by the first three.

“The Green Collective SG is Singapore’s first collective of sustainable brands curated based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It consists of 35 local brands, and provides alternative green options to everyday products to consumers and businesses," Danielle relates.

“Working with a unique ‘shared responsibility’ model, The Collective is also looking to reinvent retail by utilising collected data, and by sharing it with brand members to create a more democratic and transparent retail structure to showcase the sustainability of each brand.”

Now that you know what they’re about, it’s time to check out their selections. All beautiful and useful, they range from household items to fashion and accessories to organic food, just to name a few. You can watch out for their workshops too. :)
