They really do :)

I saw a Nigella episode where she mentioned that food in bowls is always comforting. Or something to that effect. :) Well, I agree.
I like rice, meat and even salads in bowls, but I like noodles with soup or gravy better. I find them stress-relieving and tummy-filling. With meat, veggies and lots of seasoning added in, I consider them complete meals.
Marutama is a favourite. When I crave for ramen, it means that I want Marutama. :)
Xin Yuan Ji in Bugis was introduced to me by a friend. And we had a really nice time talking and eating there, even though it was a bit crowded.
The lor mee at the Old Airport Road hawker centre I sought on my own. I’ve heard a lot about it (and the hawker centre), but it’s only now that I’ve been able to try it.
I don’t know if this is a good or fairly common tip, but when it’s my first time at a hawker centre, I always walk around and look at the queues. If a stall has a particularly long one, I take it to mean that the food is really good and worth lining up for.
Hmmm… Thanks to this post, I’m now planning my next noodle and food-in-bowls outing. Why not enjoy a hearty serving today? It might make you happy. :)
